The Howard Haven 12 1/2.

The Howard Haven 12 1/2 is different from others that have been built in a few ways. First, our boat is strip-planked with cedar and then has two layers of diagonally opposed cold-moulded sheathing sealed in epoxy and covered with one layer of fiberglass cloth . They are "bullet-proof" while still being light. Also, they are not subject to delamination that is sometimes an issue with 5-layer cold-moulding. We have the true shaped Herreshoff sheerstrake and the decks are finished with canvas that is epoxied in place for long life. The spars are sitka spruce and the hardware is bronze reproduction Herreshoff.
